Three years ago my friends Scott and Brad left the safety (relative to where the were going) and familiarity of Philadelphia to capture the tragically over looked treatment of women during war. Their adventure took them overseas to the Congo to the remains of a nation torn apart by an especially brutal civel war. Along the way they met women like Helene and Bijoux who were brave enough to share their heroic stories of strength and beauty through un-imaginable circumstances.
